The development of the centre

The Mission Covenant Church of Norway expressed their will to the government of building up an elderly centre in 1984. With the help of Kin Lok Church and the long-term preparation, the elderly centre was founded in 1987 in the Yiu On Estate of Ma On Shan. Due to the problems of construction and decoration, the opening of the elderly centre was suspended to the October of 1989 and the Yiu On church was also established at that time. After the October of 2014, the elderly centre was upgraded to be a neighbourhood elderly centre by the government.
